pix gallery

Now you are Blogging why not create a Gallery to go with it?

Starting in photography - at whatever age - as camera prices become even cheaper, a digital camera can offer a practically new lease of life.

Digital photography gives us a new ease of working, we can see results immediately and take as many pictures as we like without worrying about the cost of developing and printing.

Start by photographing anything and everything around you. Your own life, and that of your friends is the easiest and the best starting point for your work.

As another example of a project, you could scan in the years of pictures cluttering up every drawer in the house! All those long forgotten pictures of people and places or long gone pets.

This way you can develop and learn the personal skills needed to be a photographer as well as acquiring the confidence to write down those memories that have been running through your head for years. For many this has been the springboard to greater things.

Start working on other photographic projects as well. A visit to your local library can point the way to a number of books published with suggestions for photographic projects.

These can be quite useful, but do you really need them? You can come up with your own ideas by looking through your own long forgotten picture albums and thinking how far you can take them.

Another invaluable aid is the internet with help for virtually any question on photography. Better still, through this we can find other photographers and local camera clubs who can be a great source of ideas and inspiration.

Happy snapping.
